This single quote describes Marilyn Monroe's effect on women perfectly, she helped women become more sexually confident and empowered. During that era, women were stereotyped as only being useful for housework and to their husbands, but Marilyn changed that and started a sexual revolution. She taught others that you could be a sex symbol and also be intelligent, kind, and caring just like she was. Marilyn Monroe was an actress, a sex symbol, and a pioneer as a symbol of the women’s sexual revolution.
