Everyone makes history in their own way. Some people make history by conquering their biggest fear, or goal. Maybe it could be something as simple as giving to the homeless. Everyone has their own significant way of doing so. Marilyn Monroe is a legendary name, almost every single soul on this planet knows of Marilyn. She made history, went up against history, but most importantly she is history. Marilyn conquered all this by going against tradition. She paved her own road to success, which resulted in history. Over the years she became a legacy and historically relevant to the new upbringing of the future of the United States of America, which we now know as home. But her real break was the movie `Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’. However before this movie was shot Marilyn did more modeling which resulted in her big success with the movies `Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’. “Norma Jeane's job was attaching propellers to the drone aircraft, and Conover took a few shots of her and moved on. Then he froze in his tracks and returned, in his own words, "stunned": "She was beautiful. Half child, half woman.... " Conover was not the first man to be smitten by Norma Jeane, nor would he be the last. He was, however the first to recognize her photogenic qualities. A legend was about to be born.” (Conover, Barret) Marilyn was 19 at the time and was working at a factory, which was helping out with the war. Photographer David Conniver was taking pictures of these women working when he noticed Marilyn and was stunned by her beauty, and did a photoshoot with her, which kick started her career. “First he took pictures of me in my overalls. When he discovered I had a sweater in my locker, he asked if I would mind wearing it for more pictures. `I want to show the boys what you really look like,' he said. Those pictures he took of me were the first that ever appeared in publication. They were used in Army camp newspapers, including Yank and Stars and Stripes.” (Conover, Barret) These photos were as innocent as a lamb, yet they granted her such success which she then took matters into her own hands, and started to do more scandalist photoshoots, so that she could keep people entertained, and wanting more. “Marilyn referred to him as having `discovered' her and launching her on her career. Shortly after learning Norma Jeane was now Marilyn Monroe, they were reunited on the set of `Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' and the world learned of the man who discovered Marilyn Monroe.” (Conover.
