In 1946, she changed her original name, Norma Jeane Mortenson, to her stage name, Marilyn Monroe. She soon began appearing in many movies, such as Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire, All About Eve, and The Asphalt Jungle. They were just some of the almost thirty movies that Monroe starred in over the course of her career. In addition to being nominated for several awards, Monroe has also won a variety of awards. She has earned the Henrietta Award two times in both 1954 and 1962, a Golden Globe in 1960, a 1958 Golden Plate, the 1954 Most Popular Female Star award, and a 1953 Special Award. Monroe was inducted into the Film Hall of Fame in 2013 and was also given a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame in
