According to history sites and newspapers during Marilyn’s time, rumors stated the Kennedy brothers passed Marilyn around like a piece of meat, which was later confirmed by Jackie Kennedy. Along with fame and fortune Marilyn, like many stars, had enemies. People envied her beauty, charm, and talent, which could have been a motive. She had many ex lovers and ex husbands, which could have also been a motive. The list goes on and on, but there were only a few names who could be the alleged murderers: The Kennedy’s, Dr. Greenson, and whoever else they may have hired to do the job.
Marilyn was forced to live with grace goddard and it was going all well but soon to find out grace goddards husband was sexually assaulting marilyn monroe. So marilyn monroe was either forced to get married at 16 years old or go off to another orphanage. Later on marilyn got married to james dougherty in 1942. Marilyn often got signed to a lot of film and modeling contracts like from columbia and nigeria so her career was just getting started she was making more and more money by the minute marilyn was then featured in the movie “ladies of the chorus” known as the “sex symbol superstar” . Marilyn then got divorced in 1946 marilyn's career started going downhill she was taking drugs to cope with her problems with her mom having paranoid disorder and her having to go through such a rough life going through different orphanages having to get taken from of her parents.
Another piece of evidence favoring Dr. Ralph Greenson as the murder is the fact that he arrived first to the crime scene, “After midnight on August 5, 1962, her maid, Eunice Murray, noticed Monroe’s bedroom light on... she called Monroe’s psychiatrist, Dr. Ralph Greenson, who gained access to the room by breaking a window”(Marilyn Monroe's Death). This leads to him being him the only person with access to her for a long time until all the paramedics come. Also, “Entering, he found Marilyn dead, and the police were called sometime after. An autopsy found a fatal amount of sedatives in her system, and her death was ruled probable suicide”(Marilyn Monroe's Death).
Autopsy showed she committed suicide, but looking further into her death I believe she was murdered. Marilyn Monroe was her stage name; the name she was given at birth was Norma Jean Mortenson. (History.com ) She had a very hard childhood, her mother was emotionally unstable and her father was unknown. Norma spent her childhood in and out of foster homes and orphanages.
Though these rumors came to truth as it was confirmed that Kennedy and Monroe had slept with one another after a dinner party held at a New York hotel in his honor February of 1962 (Kiger, 2013), just 3 months before the infamous “Happy Birthday” and this could be the answer why. Once gossip started between the two, the president had to try and shut it down somehow and keep it all underwraps, Marilyn Monroe seemed to be very persistent and would even call the White House on numerous occasions hoping to get back to where they were and a friend of John F. Kennedy’s even told Monroe not to pursue him any longer (Kiger, 2013).
