I am reading Hero by Mike Lupica and I am on page 124. The book is about Zach, whose father died in a deadly plane crash. Zach is looking to find out what he thinks happened to his father: The plane crash was not an accident. While still coping with the loss of his father, and while looking for what happened to his father, Zach meets a man, Mr. Herbert, who gives Zach superpowers. In this journal I will be predicting and questioning.

During all this, her younger brother Raymond is badly injured in a bicycle accident. After this incident, Santiago moves with her mother to New York to find better care for Raymond. In addition, Santiago explains how her they were eleven in their family, yet their parents were not married. The history of her family was that of tension and sadness. Santiago reveals a life full of joy, sorrow, laughter, and pain.
The reality of the situation was that she had no control over her father’s death. There was nothing or no way that she could have prevented the events that took place. Although she was extremely angry with the situation at hand she learned that she had other things to be grateful for. She wanted people to know that even though something or someone has passed away you can’t stay stuck in the state of depression forever. You have to step back and look at your life because the reality is, life still moves on.
