I agree with Mark Hertsgaard, the author of “Big Electric Shocks Big Oil”, because there are many things that are very clearly stated facts about California. “SB 350 envisions cutting greenhouse gas emissions to 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030” (Hertsgaard, 2015)can be considered an inductive example because it is not promising that the emissions level will be cut but it is highly likely it will be. On the other hand a deductive example would be “30,000 electric vehicle chargers in office buildings, apartment complexes, and parking lots in the next four years at a cost of $355 million” (Hertsgaard, 2015) I agree with this statement because of how expensive it is to build these chargers. I also disagree because of how it expensive it is
