The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, written by Mark Twain otherwise known as Samuel Clemens, is a book about a boy’s adventures down the Mississippi River with an escaped slave. The book is a direct sequel to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, in which Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer receive around six-thousand dollars each at the end of the book. The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin is set in the same town as Tom Sawyer, St. Petersburg Missouri, and starts off with Huckleberry Finn being taken in by a woman, Widow Douglas. Huck Finn is basically an orphan as there is no mention of his mother and his father left town a while ago. Huck Finn is getting tired of Widow Douglas trying to “civilize” him when his estranged and abusive father shows up. His
