The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a novel written by Mark Twain. This book was published on December 10, of 1884. Mark Twain or his real name Samuel Clemens was raised in Hannibal Missouri. Samuel Clemens got the name Mark Twain from his pen name. Mark lived in Hannibal when he published Huckleberry Finn. Living in Hannibal helped him write the setting for Huckleberry Finn. Mark Twain tried out many things after his book got published.Soon after the book was published Mark became a teacher, he was a journalist, author, and novelist also. This book was put into first person perspective by Mark Twain. Mark Twain said that he feels as tho he is Huck Finn in the book. The story is from Huck Finn’s point of view, by using I, me, and by telling me his thoughts. I knew this book was in first person at the beginning, because it starts off by introducing himself, and other characters and how he feels about them. Throughout the story he keeping telling me his thoughts. Since this story was during the 1830’s, Huck’s language isn’t the best. I believe that this book was more for boys, from ten and up. This book has many male characters, and the two lead roles are males. Huck Finn is a boy, and boys tend to do what they want to do. Huck Finn is getting away with living by himself. Many boys at this time wanted to be adventures, and they don’t want to listen to their parent or anyone. This book captured that thought. Huck Finn and Jim had little education, and they talked like they had little education. It is very difficult to read the book on how they talk. But at this time I am sure boys were talking like
