On Wednesday February 8th 2017 at 11 am I saw the theatrical presentation of “Martin and Malcolm Me” presented by JD Lawrence. It was performed in the Van Nostrand Theatre located in the sagtikos arts and science building of the Michael J Grant campus in Brentwood. The person who wrote the play or the playwright was JD Lawrence he was also the director of this presentation as well. The stage manager is Taylor Lawrence and it was produced by “Who's Laughing Now Inc. The cast of this play consisted of three main characters all showing their point on black history the two influential characters are Martin Luther King played by Victor Landol, Malcolm X play the by Dexter McKinney and lucky played by the writer JD Lawrence.

Victor Landoll who played Martin had a very passionate role he portrayed Martin Luther King as a strong-willed passionate man which was a good way to do it to get his point across about black history and black rights he had to be passionate and strong towards his beliefs what she portrayed well the only thing was his speech I didn't understand some of the things he was saying because of his accent, that also could be a good thing because his accent portrayed Martin Luther King's accent really well. Dexter McKinney who played Malcolm X was the strongest actor out of the three he fit the role perfectly based on his mannerisms is speech and is passion For What he what's performing. He reminded me of a young Denzel Washington in a 1992 trauma Productions of the movie Malcolm X by Spike Lee. The final actor JD Lawrence who played lucky was probably the most important out of the three actors his interpretation of a modern black Citizen was close to perfect, he portrayed him as a stereotypical black kid from the hood that wasn't brought up correctly. The directing was done by JD Lawrence who was also an actor she wasn't doing any directing during the performance but I'm sure after every performance they will have I sat down to see what they can prove he was very passionate about this presentation of black history. They all played it out very
