The 95 theses are 95 things that Martin Luther believed in. Which they were questions that MArtin Luther had. He come to realize that the bible was the central religious authority. He also come to realize that the only way for salvation was by their faith not their deeds. The 95 theses changed the religious and cultural history in the west. Martin got mad and made the 95 theses because the Catholic church taught that the way for salvation was good work and good deeds. The 95 theses got to Germany and Rome pretty fast. In 1518 he was sent to Augsburg a southern city in Germany to defend his opinions. So then Luther refused to go back to Wittenberg. Some other leaders stepped up and lead the movement with Luther. Luther finally married in 1525 to Katharina of Bora a former nun. They loved each other and had five kids together. Luther’s writings cause the Reformation but he really was not involved in it during his later years. At the end of Luther’s life he turned around and told everyone that the pope was Antichrist. Luther is now one of the most influential figures in Western history. Luther's 95 theses messed up the Catholic Church and the made a Protest a Reformation. His main teachings was to tell everybody that the Bible is the main source to religious authority and that salvation is reached through faith not through deeds. Luther was critical to the Catholic Church so he stayed away from the radical successors who took his mantle. Luthe is known as a a person who does not mind to disagree with anyone or anything.
