Parents, Martin Luther King Senior and Alberta Williams, gave birth to their second child, Martin Luther King Junior, on January 15, 1929, in Atlantic, Georgia. During his life career he introduced the public to many inspirational speeches. Martin Luther King Junior was known in society for his key roles in the American Civil Rights Movement and his role as a Baptist minister. One of Martin Luther’s main purposes of speaking aloud was to inform the public of the problems he sought for the African Americans. He was the voice of the people; he spoke about things people were afraid to say. He had no shame in the person he was, he believed that he should be treated as an equal to everyone else; that this world he was living in was an unfair and unjust world. Both he and his father changed their names in order to honor the German Protestant leader Martin Luther. Martin Luther was the second child of three. He had an older sister named, Willie Christine King, and a younger brother named, Alfred Daniel Williams King. As a teenager Martin Luther King Junior attended Booker T. Washington High School, where he skipped both ninth and twelfth grade. At the age of fifteen he graduated from high school moving onto Morehouse where he would soon graduate with a degree in sociology. After receiving a degree in sociology Martin Luther King Junior continued to enroll himself in the Crozer Theological Seminary. His studies never stopped he decided to better himself with knowledge. He enrolled in Boston University, where he continued to receive many degrees in Philosophy. Overall, Martin Luther King Junior was a smart young man, who dedicated his life to his
