Martin Luther King Jr. was a devoted minister and civil rights activist. He utilized his Baptist Christian faith to fuel his advancements towards peace and love throughout his lifetime. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his time to ensuring that our society learned to not only love one another but to forgive as well. His passion to encourage the world to become one allowed him to share his faith and spread his love to those around him. Through trying times and constant backlash from opposers, he persevered and became a monumental figure in our modern world. With the way that society existed during Martin Luther King Jr.’s time, he made it his life’s purpose to tackle racism, segregation, and discrimination. Due to his position in the church and his relationship with the Gospel, he found activism as an outlet to use his wealth of knowledge.
