Similarities and differences of Old major's speech and Martin Luther King Jr. speech

Old major’s dream Old major’s dream is a dream about the earth,when man has vanished . Old major said “is it not crystal clear,comrades, that all the evils of this life of ours spring from the tyranny of human beings? Only get rid of man,and the produce of our labour would be our own”. When old major says this he is saying that all the evils in the world are caused by man. He is basically saying that once all mankind is gone the earth would be a better place. WHen they make produce,instead of humans taking it for themselves the animals would have their produce from all the labour they have done to themselves for once. Old major also says “ almost overnight we could become rich and free. With that we must do? Why work night and day,body and soul, for the overthrow of the human race.” Then he goes on a little later and says “ That is my message to you,comrades rebellion! I do not know when that rebellion will come,it might be in a week or in a hundred years.” He says this because if they were to rebel and win the rebellion they would have a much easier life than they do at that moment.He also …show more content…

During that time segregation was still in play and african americans were having a bad time in the United States. They couldn't drink from the same water fountains,go to the same bathrooms,eat at the same restaurants,go to the same school as whites. Martin Luther king had a dream. He said his “ I have a dream speech” in front of a lot of people. His dream was about when one day the world would be a better place.
