Martin Luther King Jr. died when trying to make the world a better place. He was one of the greatest Civil Rights leaders of the 1960s. He was doing what was right when he sadly passed away. Martin Luther King was born in 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. His father was enrolled at Morehouse College. Like his father, he wanted to become a minister. Throughout his life, he helped many individuals in many different ways, some of these being, his personal life, how he attempted help stop racism and how he dealt with racism. Martin Luther King married Coretta Scott in 1953 while doing work at Boston Graduate School. They had four kids together and were together until his death. Another year it happened again! Luckily both bombs did not explode. 1956 King was arrested on charges of boycotting the bus with no legal reason. The whole boycott started when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus. In 1960, he moved to Atlanta with his family and became the co-pastor of the Ebenezer Church, his father's old Church. Martin Luther King led many protest against many things, such as the segregated bus system. Martin Luther KIng made his famous speech “I have a dream.” That speech would inspire millions of African Americans. He also led a protest segregated bus system. It all started with a lady named Rosa Parks. She wouldn't give up her seat on the bus. She was later arrested. He knew how to lead protest and how to get involved in protest.
