He was a baptist minister, dad, humanitarian, and leader in the African American civil rights movement. For his Washington March 250,000 people came to that. Martin Luther King Jr. got a Nobel Peace Prize for the helping racial separation without violence. King was shot on the edge of the balcony at the Lorraine Motel. He had grown tired of marches, going to jail, and threat of death. James Earl Ray shot Martin through his right cheek and down his spine.. He was pleaded guilty after killing King and had a sentence of 99 years in prison. King made a huge impact in race relations. He then had 4 children Martin, Dexter, Yolanda, and Bernice. Most of his kids are dead now as well as his wife. King has been arrested, his house has been bombed, there are many deaths his has had to go through. King is a great survivor and we need to thank him for everything he did for our country. He cared about everyone and knew that it wasn't fair to treat people by color especially since he was colored. He was a leader and I don't think he cared what other people thought about what he said, or did. That's one of the reasons that we remember him so much. America remembers Martin Luther King Jr. mostly by his work. He helped change America with his great voice and power. Not everyone liked him and not everyone cared about him but he didn't mind he did his own thing no matter what.
