Can you imagine a world without the use of protest. Protests are made so that people can show what they want to change or get a message out. There are some people that think that protests are bad in the way that they are ineffective. Although there are effective ways of protest some are most effective then others then others are not as good. One effective method of protesting injustice is seen with “The Letter from Birmingham Jail”. King helps make his letter effective by having examples of famous people. King uses the information about the people before him he states, “Segregation ,to use the terminology of Jewish for an “I-thou” relationship and end, up relegating persons to the status of things.”(King page 325). King using this quote he is stating that not only is it the african americans but also the other races.
