A summary of Lois Tyson’s Article “You are what you Own: a Marxist reading of The Great Gatsby” By Salwa Al-lihyany In her article, Tyson provides a Marxist interpretation of Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. From a Marxist perspective, she explains how this novel works as both criticizing the capitalist ideology and supporting it at the same time.
