If the mistress was to find out of her husbands actin it would be of great offence to the her and the masters family. Id the child is to be born a “mulatto” then he/she is to be sold of to a place with distance from the masters home. The master would feel wrong to have to treat his child like all the other slaves and have him live in the same place as his other children. The masters would feel that the most right thing to do would be to sell off their children to other slaveholders, so he doesn't have to himself see what is going to happen to the forbidden child he had. Although the child is of the masters blood, he gave no sentiment in letting him be sold off to other slaveholders, to only be treated harshly. The child is of only a few darker shades of color, and just because of this the child was not given the right to stay by his parents to be loved and cared for like any other white
