A recent article from fbi.gov, reveals that weapon of mass destruction is a nuclear, radiological, chemical, or biological weapon that can bring harm to a massive number of humans (no page info from this website). The world needs to be more aware of how harmful these weapons are and the damage they cause. A nuclear bomb explosion is caused by the splitting of an atom. The smallest of these bombs can kill up to 100,000 people. Research found on icanw.org, shows countries such as Russia and the United States have many of these weapons in their arsenal (no page info). The production and possession of weapons of mass destruction should be banned from the world because they can kill innocent people, cause environmental, and the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is too great to ignore. Those against banning weapons of mass destruction, is that banning these weapons would not affect the killing of civilians in war and some countries will …show more content…

In 1945, the United States launched its first nuclear attack on Hiroshima. Research published by atomicheritage.org, reveals that “The atomic bomb that was dropped wiped out 90 percent of the city and 80,000 people were immediately killed. Later after the devastating explosion, tens of thousands died due to radiation exposure. “Little Boy” was the name of the atomic bomb detonated over Hiroshima” (no page info from this website). People who would go against this argument would most likely be citizens of the United States, because this tragedy led to them winning the war. The people and animals that survived the tragedy in Hiroshima suffered from radiation poisoning, severe burns, and wounds from flying glass.
