He wiped off the slick sweat on the back of his neck, knowing it was his time to shine. Centennial Olympic Park surrounded him. The Bank of America Plaza towered to the East. He rubbed the back of his blood stained feet, shook off the blister pain, shoved his polished trainers on his feet, picked up his stick, and started for the other side of the field. He was in the big leagues now.
In True Grit by Charles Portis, Mattie Ross, a fourteen year old girl, is determined to hunt down her father’s murderer, Tom Chaney; however, Mattie needs help from Rooster Cogburn, heard to be the toughest U.S. Marshal around. Without Rooster, traveling into the Indian Territory to kill Tom Chaney would be nearly impossible for her. After hours of arguing, negotiation, and persuasion, Mattie convinces Rooster to take her into the territory. With his own second thoughts and negative influences coming from Laboeuf, a Texas ranger who is also after the murderer Chaney, Rooster changes his mind and attempts to get rid of Mattie. Rooster’s attempts to block Mattie’s journey ironically allows him to become her hero.

Tanner Ray Grandstaff, three words that when combined create a person, an identity. A tanner works with hides and turns it into leather by some process that is completely foreign to me. I have no experience with working with leather other than occasionally cleaning the leather in my car. I am actually the least likely person to be working with hides or anything that has to do with dead animals due to the fact that I have never been hunting. I feel as if I am a black sheep having grown up in Arkansas and Oklahoma the and every time one of my friends asks me about hunting, I just try to change the subject as soon as possible, otherwise I might be ridiculed and labeled as a city boy.
Another part is that he wrestles with the decision of whether to kill Strout. Matt wastes time by driving to Strout’s house to get a suitcase and pretends that he is going to let Strout go. I think Matt did these things, because he needed more time to convince himself that this is a good idea. I see myself doing this sometimes. In my case, I am debating whether to stay up late watching Netflix or to go to bed.

I have two things to tell you. One: I 'm not gay. There hasn 't been a day in my life where I have thought about sucking Cody Manson 's dick, or getting fucked in the ass by Cody Manson, or making out with Cody Manson. Two: I 'm a really shitty liar.

I went to Jay Peak as my second time. I remember about my first time I went there when I was in Middle school. Also it was my first year in United State. I was a quiet student in Middle school so I don’t talk the whole time I was on the bus even when I get there. But yesterday I talked to people who were from different program.
10 Block Story As the Christmas season is getting closer, the anxiety of what you’re getting for presents is growing bigger. I mean, who doesn’t want to know what they’re getting. The element of surprise is okay, but sometimes you just want to know what you’re getting! So, you can’t blame me when I saw my sister, who, I pretty much know got me for, “Secret Santa,” which wasn’t very secret. I wanted to follow her to see what she got me, so I did.
"Thomas Longwoods Acting Classes, they 're in Montgomery Valley now, I want to sign up" I tell my mother as I hold the sheet infront of her face. " Acting.... why? " She says, squinting her eyes to read the words while my baby sister Ronnie starts to nuzzle her head in to my moms neck. " Because its my drea-" Ronnie starts to spit up and mother jolts to the washroom before I can even finish my sentence. I lift the registration form and crumple in into my palms.
All my 8th grade classmates and I sit on the cafeteria floor at Daniel Wright Middle School, giggling and staring at the gigantic screen. A slideshow plays. Often mortifying pictures of our younger selves appear with our names. I recollect all the vivid memories from middle school and earlier, like when my 5th grade teacher accidentally threw a snowball at one of my classmates. My friends and I sit together, hollering when we see each other on the screen.
The new American hero (Just a quick look) Can you see the handsome young man sitting by my side, driving through the forest, behind the wheel of his decadent truck? Yes. I would trust him with my life (sip of vodka).
What’s astounding about the reverse racism argument is the way in which it reveals some racists’ deep need to deny the idea of having any privilege. Rather than acknowledging the realities of how people of color deal with racism, white racists do mental and hypothetical cartwheels in order to justify these injustices. There have been so many explainers on why the concept of reverse racism is inherently wrong, so many breakdowns, but perhaps another way to tackle this discussion is to address some of the main topics and issues that get called out as reverse racism. Here are four common arguments that have no merit: 1. Affirmative Action takes jobs and scholarships away from white people.
