Matthew Brady inherits the wind
Do you ever think that maybe the person who inherited the wind in the story could be right there but you just can’t think of it? Well that’s the way I felt till I realized that the person who it made the most sense for it was Matthew Brady. Why you may ask or how I could think that I will answer that question shortly. Now look at the story and let’s begin. Also it’s only my thought. As many of us know paying with your life is the ultimate pay well the meaning of inherited the wind means such as an ultimate payment must be made to the wrongdoer. This could also mean that because of him, causing the town to act in such a way he must pay. Also it could be him, claiming to hear God that did it too. Again for those who don’t remember it’s near the end they talk about how Matthew Brady died.
Now you can see how some people go with Bert Cates right off the bat because he is the person in court. I see that he had to pay a price for teaching, but it was only one hundred dollars, which is not as much as a life. If you compare the two one dies while the other pays a small fine for breaking this law. So if Bert Cates would have inherited the wind it would have been much harsher. That is my side of the two battles.
Now to me Matthew Brady just does inherit the wind. We know he caused the town to act crazy as they start singing church songs and burning a thing that is supposed to be the other side of the trial. Plus he claimed to be able to talk to God. Which made him pay the ultimate price, which in this case was his life. Now we know how much Matthew Brady inherited the
