Anne Frank begins her diary on her 13th birthday. At the time Anne and her family were living in Nazi- Occupied Amsterdam Holland during the World War II. On Anne’s birthday she describes her presents as the times when she spends the day at the Jewish schools. On her birthday she also got a diary. She describes one boy. His name was Maurice Coster. He was being one of Anne’s many admirers. He also appears to be 13. Anne is already popular with the boys at her school. Anne is very confident about how popular she is.
