Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who went into hiding during world
Liesel Meminger and Max Vandenburg throughout the book face many struggles. Their struggles differ in some aspects and some are similar. Liesel Meminger, also known as the “Book Thief”, is a ten year old girl who is kind and is hungry for her education. Liesel steals books hoping to read them and she does indeed, with the help of her foster father Hans Hubermann. She struggles with the death of her brother and losing her mother right at the beginning of the book, and still does as the story progresses.
In The Book Thief, Max Vandenburg is an intricately woven character who possesses numerous dissimilar traits, predominantly, Max demonstrates resilience through his creativity, determination, and his anguish. Firstly, despite the many hardships Max faces, he channels his aggression and negative feelings in positive and creative ways. Furthermore, Max uses his ability to write and draw as a method of escaping, and in what could be considered some of Max’s loneliest moments, Max is most creative, such as, when Max writes Liesel the book “The Standover Man” which is about his quite awful life.
Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl living in Amsterdam during the occupation by the Nazis. She was forced to go into hiding above her father's work for two years to avoid prison. During her time in hiding, she kept a diary and wrote about her experience. Frank writes about her loving and compassionate family and also mentions how she has built new relationships with the other families in the house. In her diaries, Frank frequently emphasizes the value of family, emphasizing how her trials were made easier by the presence of those she loved who understood what she was going through.
Anne Frank was born in 1929 in Frankfurt,Germany. July 6,1942 the frank family went into hiding after receiving an order for margot to report to a forced labor camp. They hid in an attic room above Mr.Frank's work place with the help of close friends. Another family,the Van pels(Van Daans) joined them followed by Fritz Pfeffer(Dussel),Months later(196).The historical event did affect the frank family and others like him in many ways.
Anne Frank was a young girl around the age of 13 when they first went into hiding. They were in hiding for two years, from the year 1942 until 1944. Then once they took her out of hiding, she went to the nazi’s concentration camps. She died at the age of 16 in Bergen-Belsen in Germany. In the play Anne Frank said,“In Spite of everything, I still believe people are good at heart”.

The brave and remarkable little girl whose name was Anne Frank, hid from the Nazis in an annex with her family. Little Anne and her family were later found and sent away to nasty and evil concentration camps, where she later died. Anne often described the circumstances and consequences of being born into a Jewish family in her diary that she was given by her father, Otto Frank. A Jewish Influence Liesel Meminger, the 10-14-year-old protagonist of The Book Thief, has lived a life so filled with tragedies that every little happy moment in her life is put on a large scale. While each influence comes from different sources, Max Vandenburg and his influences are apparent more so than childhood best friend Rudy Steiner and his comical relief and optimism, or even foster parents Hans and Rosa Hubermann, who both are influential in different, yet significant ways that only a parental figure can demonstrate. Max gives Liesel a firsthand insight on how Jews are treated and help her develop her own opinion; he’s a friend that has experienced as much, if not more tragedy than she;, and finally, the two books he wrote for her, The Standover Man & The Word Shaker further distend her love for reading and books. My name is Stephen Gaetano and I’m a student in the Civics course this summer. This speech is about my hero of democracy - Pierre Elliot Trudeau, and his involvement in creating democracy in Canada. The 15th Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, held this position for 15 years. Prime Minister Trudeau started his career as a lawyer in Montreal, and was an activist in Quebec’s political system. In the 1960s, he joined the Liberal Party of Canada, and took charge of the Liberal Party in 1968.
Anne Frank and her family were in hiding for two years. During those two years, the family lived in an Annex with another family named the Van Daans. Also during these two years she wrote in her diary about her experiences of each day and what her wishes were. Her father Otto Frank and her mother Edith Frank including the Van Daans would try and take care of the family as best as they could. In hiding, they were not able to leave their home as they might get caught.
Pages two hundred one through three hundred of The Book Thief take the reader through the rest of part four to part six. These pages focus mainly on Max Vandenburg, and Liesel forming a bond with him. Also, within these one hundred pages, a few new characters are introduced as the plot moves along. Overall, I greatly enjoyed these one hundred pages of The Book Thief.
We can learn about the day to day experiences of Anne Frank that the times were tough for Anne and her family, and million of other Jews during World War 2. They were forced to go into hiding after Amsterdam was taken over by the Nazis. The Franks stayed in the attic of her dad’s old office. Anne couldn’t go outside and couldn't do anything. In Anne Frank’s diary entries it shows that Anne tries to make the best out of times of chaos and danger.
In the depth of World War II there was many jews in hiding. Born in June of 1929 in Frankfurt Germany, Anne Frank is a German-Jewish girl who was forced to go into hiding during the Holocaust over the years of World War II. Anne Frank was in hiding for 2 long years, She was in hiding with her sister, her parents, the Van Pels family, and a man named Fritz Pfeffer. During the time she was in hiding, she wrote in a journal that she got for her 13th birthday.
It was on her 13th birthday that she got a diary. In her diary, she wrote about her friendships, crushes and her academic performance at school. Anne had an older sister named Margot, and they attended a Jewish school in Amsterdam. In this diary, the Franks moved to Netherlands from Germany because they feared prosecution. After the Germans invaded the Netherlands in 1940, the Franks, another family called the van Daans and Mr Russell hid in a small secret annex above Otto Frank’s, Anne’s father’s office.
Even so, with all of this background work to be done and learned when entering a different culture missionaries need to hold on to the call that God placed on their lives. Anyone can go to a place and live there, but only through Christ can someone truly understand a different community and somehow transform a community into one that loves Christ. Kwast puts it like this “it is true that anyone can grow to appreciate various different cultures, and even communicate effectively in more than one, one can never rise above his own, or other cultures, to gain a truly supra-cultural perspective” (Kwast 397). No matter where missionaries go or how close missionaries get to the people they are ministering to they will never become 100 percent insiders
