Stakeholders In a simple word, a stakeholders is a an individual that positively or negatively affected by the actions that made by the company. The internal stakeholders for this case is employers and employees. In the perspectives of employers in Maxim Birdnest, sweatshop is overwhelmingly lucrative for the employers as it will lower down the labour cost as they paid a very low wages to the workers and forced them to work in a long hours. By lowering down the labour cost, the company can earn more profit thus increase the growth of the company. They can get their own salary by work hard even with low education level. This will bring about low unemployment rate as most of the unemployed will get a job soon as the requirement for the employees is low or even there is no requirement for the employees. This allow the poor people to live better, improve the quality of their life. Counter argument will be the employees need to work for longer hour in a day compare to other field of employees but just receive a small amount of salary a month. This theory is often expressed as ‘the greatest good for the greatest number’. By ‘good’, utilitarians mean happiness. Based on John Stuart Mill’s principle, an individual should no act as to maximise the utility but the utility of community as whole. Thus, the greatest happiness if all the people is the standard to decide whether the action is ethical or unethical (Shawn et.al., 2017). In taking account to the greatest net utility for the people as a balance, the company are responsible to create the most net expectable utility to all people. For example of Maxim Birdnest, the owner of the company, Albert Tei, has to figure out every action he did how it affect people. In this case, if the company choose to pay the employees with a higher wages, this will benefit the work but the production cost of the bird nest would be increase and customers need to buy the product with a higher price. Besides, as the increase of labour cost the production cost would be increase too therefore will lead to a low profit margin gain by the company and slower down the growth of the company. From the other side, if the company continue to pay workers with a lower price, the workers will get lower salary per month but this will benefit the customers and the company.
