Does the mission statement for Maxie’s Supper Club and Oyster Bar match the message of their about us section on their website. If the statements are aligned we will discuss how it reflects the mission statement. If the two are not in alignment we will discuss why. Maxie’s mission statement is: “To sell delicious and remarkable food and drinks. That the food and drink we sell meets the highest standards of quality, freshness and seasonality and combines both modern-creative and traditional southern styles of cooking. Both descriptions reflect alignment in food quality, customer service, innovation, and social impacts. Food Quality Maxie’s mission statement clearly expresses their belief in quality food and the about us section does a great job expanding on this belief. The first paragraph in the about us section explains how freshness is maintained year round. Maxie’s changes their menu seasonally to reflect produce and seafood that is in its prime. In addition, they pepper in a disclaimer that slight menu changes may take place all the time; which further ensures food quality will be at its best. Customer Service Maxie’s, mission statement is very heavy handed on customer service. They about us section takes a lighter approach yet still sends the same message. In paragraph two of the about us section you will find information about their live entertainment and festive atmosphere. Following the fun talk, Maxie’s clearly states that despite all the fun, you won’t find a more attentive and professional place to eat and drink. They take things back to a lighter note when discussing the bar staff. It’s no secret at a busy poplar bar, bartenders can be less attentive. Innovation is a necessity in the restaurant industry without it your competition can quickly get the upper hand. I feel anyone in a foodie part of the world would agree. That said Maxie’s touches on this in their mission statement but dives a bit deeper in their about us sections. Maxie’s highlights their establishment as a place that provides regardless of your mood. You can come in for a great seafood dinner, swing by for a tasty mint julep or party the night away to live music and late night comfort food. Either way Maxie’s express that they are much more than the traditional fancy seafood establishment that is only good for romantic dinners and good, EXPENSIVE, food.
