Richie Perry, Lieutenant Carroll, and the Helicopter pilots all just three of many characters that display tremendous amounts of courage. One of the first people to show courage in this book is Lieutenant Carroll. Lieutenant Carroll was always there for his troop. He cared for them, worried with them, and fought with them. But then one night they got caught in an ambush and unfortunately lieutenant Carroll lost his life.

With cap cuts coming, are the Steelers scouting a new middle linebacker at the combine? As I wrote in one of our past prospect watches, the Steelers could draft a middle linebacker in the mid-round of this year’s draft. Lawrence Timmons is owed over $15 million and his production has slipped over the past few seasons. One of the most decorated middle linebackers in this draft is Scooby Wright out of Arizona.
Joe Small risked life and limb to help injured sailors. His bravery is shown in “The Explosion,” “Joe Small recalled. ‘One fellow’s feet were bleeding and I gave him my shoes. Another fellow had a cut all the way down his arm, and I put a tourniquet on it to try to stop the bleeding.’” (Sheinkin).
Your honor, as I evaluated Gene Forrester, he was exceedingly suspicious, although that doesn’t mean anything quite yet. I didn’t want him to feel uncomfortable, so we talked until I got to know Gene a little better than before. We went where he was most comfortable to talk about the incident. I started off with simple questions to keep him from getting nervous. I asked him about his friendship with Phineas.
Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.
John was seen by the public as a nice guy, but what made him special was that he could take any group of guys and get consistent wins. Wooden severed in the Navy as a lieutenant surfing World War ll. After serving in the war, he took the coaching job as a basketball for the University of California. Wooden took the job while no one would step up to the task. The reason no one wanted the job was because the team did not have an arena to play in, and did not have other facilities.
No woman is allowed to be angry. This is the message that is subliminally delivered by those who tend to accuse the anger of a woman as a played-out weapon. For far too long has the uproar of unjust accusations made by women been disregarded as an emotionally biased issue. This has caused a great many of women to restrain their tongues before speaking their true and pure opinion. They fear persecution and that their whole argument will not be taken heavily if the delivery is not well thought out and calmly delivered.
Decisions made in the 1850s ultimately decided the United States fate. From the election of 1856 to the Dred Scott case, the nation would become divided into two. The South was pro-slavery and supported the idea of slavery expanded into western territories, while the North opposed of the idea and was mainly against expanding slavery. Until the 1850s the nation barely balanced the slavery issue.
In today’s society, we have former National Football League(NFL) quarterback Collin Kapernick who’s no longer in the NFL because of his protest against racial inequality. However, many people believe he is no longer in the NFL because of his talent. Kapernick led the 49ers to Super Bowl 47. Although they didn’t win, he threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards. Therefore, he didn’t get kicked out of the league because he wasn’t good enough, but for sitting down during the national anthem.

The question of morality in a criminal case has always been a topic of concern. A question arises when considering the following; does a good cause justify a serious crime? In John Brown’s case, he uses the abolitionist’s cause to justify the murder of several men. Though his intentions were good, and his cause was mighty, it’s not morally sound to murder people. Many would argue that he was a hero, that fighting for the end of slavery in the manner he did was an act of bravery.
In life some feel the need to prove something to others. That they are better, stronger, or even more intelligent. Whatever the case may be people will go through extreme measures to prove themselves. But who do we really need to prove anything to? Is it our parents?
People rebel when no justice being served. It is understandable why people act a certain way. Have you ever loved someone more than yourself? A person is your biggest pride and joy to be safe? Can you imagine how it feels to no longer have your pride and joy with in a split second, due to the way they look?
Furthermore, Winston always believed that a person should always fight for what is right, and that is what he did. With Winston leading his country against Germany, he led with an attitude of bravery and confidence, similar to how the British were feeling at that time. For example, Winston Churchill gave one of his most iconic speeches on the special day of June 4, 1940, where he used his words to inspire people to stand up for the Allies. As a politician he even gave a speech to Parliament and told them he had, “nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat.” (history.com) He was showing that he himself was ready to fight as well.
