Mayo clinic’s virtual world takes advantage of the social media’s wider and faster reach. The avatars play different roles on social media sharing information. This concept is pegged on uses and gratification theory and it anchors itself on the fact that when all role players participate in social media gives the individual fulfillment for their different needs. Its main objective is to make certain safety in schools during evolving crisis as well as disasters. One of its strongest points that come out is that the roles and duties of all stakeholders are well articulated with greatly structured media communication plan. All stakeholders have enough information to respond to both foreseen and unforeseen disasters.
