A person's life and values are changed and affected by the relationships they have with others. Once a person is born, their entire life is changed by others. From small decisions to big decisions, relationships with friends, family, and significant others change the way a person chooses. Relationships with others influence a person’s life by changing their mood, stress level, and goals.
How you relate to people can directly change your mood. They can either have a positive or negative impact on mood. In Doctor Seuss’ “The Cat in the Hat,” the cat put stress onto the fish by lifting the fish’s tank without permission, “Put me down!” said the fish. “This is no fun at all! Put me down!, I do NOT wish to fall!” (Seuss 3). With the cat directly disobeying the fish’s wishes, the fish was very nervous and worried which caused him to be stressed. In the movie “The Hunger Games,” directed by Gary Ross, to keep down over population among districts they had a raffle where kids thirteen and up would be randomly selected to compete in a game of kill or be killed. When the protagonists, Katniss Everdeen’s, little sister was drawn to compete she stepped up and took her spot in the games. This took stress away from the little sister since she no longer had to compete, but put a lot of stress onto Katniss since she now has to kill other people or let them kill her. These sources show that family can and will cause and decrease stress among one another and how people who you just met can cause stress very easily.
