Main characters, Gina, G-Child, Jessica, and violet undergo changes in their lives that destine their fate. The protagonist, G-Child, in particular begins to see the gang life slowly hindering her relationships and shape their in a negative way. The changes undergone for chapters 11 to 13 shape the characters fate by their previous knowledge, experiences, attitudes and physical changes constantly occurring. For starters, the girls slowly begin to drift apart from each other when they all begin to only care about the money they receive from selling illegal substances like crack. As their immediate response is to make spontaneous decisions; thus, the girls form their fate by the influence of their surroundings. The group of girls all go their separate ways, determining how much will power they really have for themselves. As well for Gina, she ends up in jail for her irrational decisions of driving while intoxicated and giving the cops a hard time. As for Jessica moving in with her abusive boyfriend tyson, her life becomes even more at risk. She doesn't have the will power to acknowledge her reality and the manipulation from her boyfriend becomes out of control to the point Tyson forces her to be a prostitute. This will hinder the fate of Jessica’s life while she is living with her strongest negative influence, Tyson. For the changes in G-childs life, she moves in with her long childhood friend which eventually becomes her lover. Darrel and herself live a fairytale for the first bit, but reality kicks in killing their fantasy way of living after Darrel's mother passes away. This then sets an attitude change in Darrel's mood to become hopeless and feel petty. His attitude is pushed onto G-Child in a negative way when he begins to ignore her and verbally abuse her shaping their relationships fate. The characters fate is strongly influenced by their surroundings, wether it be the culture they live in or the people they hangout with, this will shape the characters
