One may ask themselves, what is the meaning of life? Well, there are no real meanings of life, one makes their own meaning. One’s future is decided by the choices and actions they might take. One would just have to live their life the way they want to live it and never have regrets. One could also try to impact the world and make it different from when they arrived to when they leave. One’s impact on the world could be small or large, but every life has an impact.

This states that Emmett Till’s murder has a great impact on the United States, especially the South. It affected the way people thought about segregation and convinced people to try to stop segregation and unfairness towards African-Americans. Also, in Titanic, it states, “At 12:30 Captain Smith gave orders to start loading the lifeboats-women and children first.”(Ballard 115). He never planned to die the week he went to Mississippi, and he never planned that his death would be the start of the civil rights movement. “Having no purpose at all is better than having this sort of purpose because it frees us to be the authors of our own purpose or purposes and so to lead truly dignified and meaningful lives” (Burton). He is stating that no one person had a real meaning to life. Everyone is free to be who they would like to be and one can always change who they want to be. Anyone can be
