True humor is supposed to be used as way to make people look at situation from a different perspective and to laugh about it. An example of this is from the reading “SantaLand Diaries” where David realized that life was not going as expected. He is thirty –three years old and applying for an elf job. He tries to imagine a whole new world where he is able succeed and accomplish his dreams within three weeks of being in New York. In the reading he says “I’m trying to look on the bright side” he is using this imaginative world to help him get through a really tough time within his life.

Although their stories were written centuries ago, the ideas presented are still relevant to society today. While “Wife of Bath” highlights how one's outward externalities do not define a person, “Federigo's Falcon” discusses how one’s actions can define their civility, but both imply that one’s personality is solely defined by what they say and do, not who they are at face value.

When people go to concerts, they don’t only listen to the music being played, they also look at what music and songs they are playing or singing, and the order of the songs. The order of the concert has an effect over whether the audience will enjoy the music or not. Above, I listed what I think the order of the songs should be. The concert repertoire should be in this certain order, based on our concert’s intended purpose, what our audience is feeling during the concert, and what Christmas means to each individual in the audience and performing.
