The term conspiracy theory is known to be a belief that people have of organizations being responsible for eerie events. These theories can seem very fake until people begin to question the amount of evidence behind a few of them. Even though there is a lot of evidence for some, people seem to avoid talking about them to “protect” themselves. Ever since conspiracy theories gained their popularity there was one theory that caught the attention of a variety of people. The song “Gasoline” by Meek Mill (Ft. Chic Raw) demonstrates some of those hints. The song includes the lyrics, “Illuminati wanted my mind, soul, and body, they ask me would I trade it for all for a Maseretti” (Meek Mill, 2012). This specific song shows another example of the “reward” they get after giving something up. As explained earlier in the podcast the girl was going to have to sacrifice someone and in this song, he is sacrificing his soul which is a very big deal. Then, the song “Building Minds Faster” by Lupe Fiasco also has big signs of Illuminati power. The lyrics state, “…Wake up, don’t join the Army, Kill your own peoples, but fear Illuminati, And they ain’t even real, or are they?” (Lupe Fiasco, 2010). This part of the song implies that the Illuminati is real. Lupe is trying to show that people should fear them and then questions if they are even real.
