Graffiti is a very controversial subject. Too much graffiti can be viewed as a form of art that was invented in many cities all over the United States in the late 1960’s by children who simply began by writing their names on walks in their neighborhoods. On the other hand, another common association of graffiti is to associate it with gangs and gang violence. Which can lead to negative consequences like jail time, fines, or community service. It is stated that Graffiti is vandalism. However, when it promotes violence it should be considered.
One can argue that Graffiti is a way of communicating and a way of expressing what you feel. It’s a form to teach others or make others aware of certain problems or situations that you or they can be facing. In “Meet Kabul’s Female Graffiti Master” she shares how she wanted to introduce art to people because it's used as a form of expression. The artist shared that through canvases and painting walls she makes it awake and available to everyone.

She uses graffiti to share her ideas with people and bring women back into society. When she says back into society she means giving women a sense of belonging. In many places in the world women are viewed and treated as unequal to men. They are in charge of the home, kids and doing whatever their husbands command. In Afghanistan, women and girls have a strict dress code, and are not to leave the home nor travel without a male chaperone. Through her Art, graffiti she paints and creates a painting of a woman who is strong with sharp shoulders. She wanted to introduce a new type of woman. This would cause women to see that anything can be done, she is equal. She can be
