Justin Flores Language Arts Honors Period 4 1-18-17 Montclair 's History The history of Montclair, as with other communities in Southern California, is rich and colorful. Serrano Indians were the earliest known inhabitants of the land that is now Montclair. In 1774, Captain Juan Bautista de Anza named that sycamore tree-lined creek "Arroyo de los Alisos," the Stream of the Sycamores, later renamed San Antonio Creek. Up until the 1890s, Montclair was little more than grazing land and a watering hole.
Zombicon, a Fort Myers charity event on its 9th year ended with 1 man dead, identified as Tyrell Taylor, and 5 others injured after shots were fired into a crowd of people. October 17th had started like any other Saturday, until 4pm when the Zombies started to roll into the street. It's suspected that the shooter may have found a way to sneak the gun into the festival, despite a police pat down at every entrance. The Fort Myers police have been searching for the shooter since Sunday morning and have come up dry. It's caused such dismay on social media that the FBI has even offered their services to help create peace for those that feel uneasy about the situation at hand.

Progress cannot be obtained without innovation, and musical theater is no exception. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s work, especially that of Hamilton, would be nowhere as successful as it is without the influence of artists before him. It is apparent the work of Claude-Michel Schönberg, most notably Les Miserables, did much to shape Hamilton into the hit musical it is today.

Gliese 581 c is an exoplanet orbiting around a red dwarf star called Gliese 581. It is categorized as a super-Earth, a planet that is between 5 and 10 times the mass of Earth. This could be a potential home for humanity in the future, because it is thought to be in the goldilocks zone. However, it is tidally locked to its star, causing one side to be extremely hot and one side to be extremely cold.
William Rosenberg was an American Jewish entrepreneur best known for founding the Dunkin’ Donuts franchise in 1950 in Quincy, Massachusetts. Born in Boston on June 10, 1916 to Nathan Rosenberg and Phoebe Rosenberg née Swart, William was one of four children. Rosenberg grew up in Boston’s working-class Dorchester section and was educated in public schools. Due to financial problems, he was forced to leave school by eighth grade to help support his family, who had lost their grocery store in the Great Depression.
Oskar Schindler looks out in the distance. Something is going on in the ghetto; they have found more Jews. The whole place is crazy and frantic. Among all of the black and white chaos emerges a little girl in a bright red coat, sticking out like the elephant in the room. Fighting breaks out all around her as she continues to walk down the street unharmed, an innocent little girl with her whole future and a lifetime of opportunities ahead of her.
The Roaring Twenties roared because of the vast amounts of spending, the crime, and people just having fun, but Murderess Row really made the twenties roar. During the twenties women became more independent and women’s rights became a focus; whereas, in the past women just did household things. The woman of the twenties began to wear shorter dresses, cut their hair and some women even began to drink and smoke during this time period due to the advertisements that encouraged this ("Vintage Tobacco/ Cigarette Ads of the 1920s (Page 2)"). Many women even began to commit crimes, one of these criminals is Belva Gaertner. Belva was born on September 14, 1884 in Litchfield, Illinois.

Hildegard was born in 1098 C.E. in Bemersheim Germany. She lived in Nahe Valley for most of her life. She died at the age of eighty-one in 1179 C.E. She was a known for being a writer, philosopher, a mystic, a saint, a musician, and so much more.

Golda Meir did not only that but she helped impact and change other countries as well. Although She was an Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir largely impacted the United States as well as she helped grow women’s and Jewish empowerment worldwide. Golda Mabovitch was born in Russia, and moved to America due to anti semitism and the American dream. Her home was a dangerous place to live as a jew, “...where mobs killed over 100 Jews.”
Throughout her life, Margery Kempe had an uncommon desire to escape her bourgeois life and did everything in her power to do so. Kempe was raped repeatedly by her husband which led to her declaring a mystical marriage to Jesus. During the time which Kempe was alive, sex was something that partners did not only for procreation, but enjoyment. Kempe despised sex with her husband. In order to escape her marriage to her husband, she created the mystical marriage, in spite of the societal standards that excluded women from religious roles, such as the one Margery was attempting to assume.
Demeter is the goddess of corn, grain, and the harvest. She also holds control over the seasons. She is the daughter of Cronus and Rhea and has two children, one of whom is Persephone. One very significant event in Demeter’s life was the abduction of her daughter. Persephone took care of the flowers for Demeter and was very fond of them.

Meitnerium was produced by bombarding 209Bi with 58Fe which produced a single atom of the isotope 266Mt. Meitnerium has 7 isotopes whose half-lives are known, with mass numbers
One of the first extraordinary woman was Hildegard von Bingen, a German woman that lived in the twelfth- century and was raised by a noble family. As an adult, Hildegard was a author and composer. Her knowledge to heal people made her history, using, herbs and medicine, as well as her visions of God, she was knows as a mystic. Hildegard refused to accept the life that most medieval women had, she argued and disobeyed this authority. He refused to accept that men were superior to women.
Wilhelm Wundt worked as a professor at the university of Leipzig an is famous for opening a the first psychological laboratory. He believed the goal of psychology was to discover the content of conscious of experiences and the interpretation of the experiences. He focused more on the process and the experimental aspects. He taught until he was 85 years old, as a result his students continued his research. One of his students was Hermann Ebbinghaus and he focused on memory.
