Actress Melissa McCarthy is the main character in “The Boss”, a comedy that begs you to laugh more than it really will. This film has McCarthy play a snobby, disgraced business woman that goes bankrupt and tries to reinvent herself after being released from prison. Being “the boss”, she treats her workers as she wishes, not in a good way. When she gets into some trouble they don’t want to help her remembering how she was with them. Along the lines there are lots of twist and turns. She demands much love with this film. Outside of this movie, Melissa McCarthy is an Academy Award-winning actress and comedian. She has had phenomenal comedy hits, such as “Bridesmaids” and “Identity Thief”, which both rated much better than “The Boss”. The beginning of her life plays out within the first half hour of the film. She is a foster child that kept getting returned to the orphanage home after getting a new adoptive family. After the second time she is returned, it became downright sad. Not conveying much of a comedic film anymore. The film fast forwards into present time where Michelle is doing a show in front of a lot of people and the next thing you know she is trying to rap to one of T-Pain’s songs.
