Mental Health Affordable
Mental health in the U.S. is a very sensible topic for many but it is something that should be discussed about more as it is a very important issue that is affecting many. Not everyone has the knowledge or knows about why mental health is important and this is why I believe that this topic should be acknowledged more. There's different types of mental health issues and illnesses affecting millions of people in their daily lives and there are different ways of coping. Mental health services are already being offered in Austin and some are even being free but the issue here for me is the fact that getting actual professional help is costly when you don’t have insurance. "Healthy Thinking" is a nonprofit institution that will offer free professional help to those in need of mental help and guidance. It will include all the needed services for any type of mental issues and illnesses at low to no cost. "Healthy Thinking" is an institution that will offer its services to anyone living in the Austin area. It will offer aid to anyone who hasn't been able to get or afford mental help. Professionals will work one on one with any person and they will actually offer the needed help to achieve a healthier mindset and live a better life. Only 1/3 of those diagnosed with this disorder receive treatment. The reason for that being the cost of therapy and prescription drugs discouraging people from getting the needed help. A type of therapy offered for anxiety is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and it costs around $100 or more per hour. Some federally funded centers already offer services based on your income and "Healthy Thinking" will be one more added.
