Mentors provide valuable guidance and support as they may offer useful feedback, share their experiences, give their time openly, and bring positive attitudes to mentees. The State of Florida supports mentorship as an important part of teacher development. However, some Florida school districts lack needed funding or staff to secure mentors. Educators must implement strategies to increase mentorship in districts that are in need, so that all students and districts have more equal opportunities to be positively influenced by the benefits of mentorship. To begin with, one of the strategy for increasing mentorship in districts that are in need is to engage in teacher education that supports student education. To educate teachers in this way, they must be given workloads that provide enough free time for their own education as they work. Senior faculty members are considered an excellent choice to act as mentors in teacher development. Of course, new teachers and more experienced educators may all benefit from mentorship; in turn, teachers, who are successfully mentored, may then use their knowledge in mentoring for the benefit of their own students. Districts can use on line tools to connect teachers from their places with voleenteer mentors. This provides guidence, encouragement and support needed for teacher’s professional development. In addition to this, by using a plateform, teachers can share their experiences with other teachers.It is thought that this type of direct communication and sharing of experiences are invaluable in the mentoring process; it connects individuals for dynamic mentoring experiences that powerfully move them forward in their professional lives.
