In William Shakespeare’s play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence states, "These violent delights have violent ends/ And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,/ Which as they kiss consume: the sweetest honey/ Is loathsome in his own deliciousness/ And in the taste confounds the appetite:/ Therefore love moderately; long love doth so;/ Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.” , (2.6.9-15).
Who is the responsible person? In my personal opinion, I think that Mercutio is the one responsible for the events of Romeo and Juliet, and here's why. At the beginning, he is bugging Romeo for being sad about Rosaline. Then when Peter asked for help, he took it as an invitation for themselves. “We shall go for you to see beauties far more beautiful than Rosaline.”
The person to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet would be Tybalt because he started the fight and he was super cocky so he decided to fight Mercutio. Some people would argue that Mercutio is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he fought Tybalt. People would agree with the claim, but if Tybalt was not so cocky and mad at Romeo none of this would happen. Tybalt is the main reason to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.

The play Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare is a tragedy that depicts the death of two newly wed lovers who suffer their death due to unfortunate circumstances. Although Romeo and Juliet did take their own lives, the feud and Friar Lawrence are at fault for their untimely deaths. Some may believe Mercutio is the one to blame for the deaths of the young lovers. They believe that because Mercutio’s death led to Romeo’s banishment from the city, and the fact that Mercutio was unaware of the fact that their master, Romeo, was recently married to Juliet.
Ms. Brandi Powell 3/18/24 Who’s Fault is it: Romeo and Juliet It’s pretty clear that Romeo and Juliet are both clearly too unstable to be blamed for their deaths because they threaten to kill themselves several times, and get married within 12 hours of having known each other, most of which were asleep. If they never met, no one would have died. So the only other person to be blamed is Mercutio. Mercutio didn’t have the idea to go to the party where Romeo and Juliet met, but he did say that Romeo should dance, which caused Romeo and Juliet to meet and this whole bloody mess to start.
Your houses” (3.1.110,113 Shakespeare). Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” is a play about two lovers, both from families who are feuding. The love between Romeo and Juliet ends up being so intense that they refuse to be separated, even going as far as killing themselves if the other is to die. This would soon be their fate at the end of the play. The most critical decision in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” was when Tybalt fought and killed Mercutio instead of Romeo.
The question of who is most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet can be complicated. Almost everybody in the play can be blamed because everybody has pitched in a little. There are many characters in the play by William Shakespeare who wronged Romeo and Juliet. The characters that contributed the most to Romeo’s and Juliet’s deaths are Friar Laurence, Lord Capulet and Paris. First of all, Friar Laurence is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet because he has done some stuff that Romeo didn’t know about.
In the play Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, the three characters to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet are Romeo’s and Juliet’s parents, Juliet’s Maid, and Mercutio. The first characters to blame are Romeo’s and Juliet’s parents. They are to blame because instead of stopping the fight between them they join the fight. So, for this both Romeo and Juliet kill themselves so they be together. The second character to blame is Juliet’s Maid.
Romeo and Juliet Essay A Capulet’s corpse. A Montague’s sword. Who is guilty of the crime? The corpse or the owner of the sword?
Romeo is to blame for Mercutio’s death in Act III of Romeo and Juliet. First of all, Romeo did not fight back when Tybalt insulted him. Tybalt calls Romeo a villain and other various names, but Romeo responds by saying (paraphrase), “I love you more than you believe for we are family, even if you are oblivious to this fact. I love the name Capulet as much as I love my own name”(3.1.72-75). When Romeo says this, Tybalt becomes confused and enraged.
And although that might be right, Romeo is the most to blame for his own death and Juliet’s because he killed Tyblat and broke a lot of rules with Juliet. Breaking rules and killing Tybalt ultimately led to him being exiled. Before the death of Tybalt, Romeo wasn't really thinking straight because one of his good friends was just killed and he wanted to seek revenge. The prince of Verona explains “I amence a fine that you should all repent for the loss of mine”(3.1.207-208). The prince is basically clarifying that because Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo shall not be executed, but exiled.

He is to blame for their death because he is the one who took Romeo to the ball, the one who didn’t want to avoid a fight with the Capulets and he was the one to challenge Tybalt to a duel. Mercutio is at fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet because he gives bad advice and not only that, but he also can’t take good advice. For example, Mercutio states, “With all the admired beauties of Verona...go thither, and with unattainted eye compare her face with some that I shall show “ (1.2.86-88).
Who is most responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet? Well it could be Juliet or Romeo. But the person to blame for the two lovers'deaths is Juliet. The two lovers are in love and they are young to be loving each other that much. Juliet is the one who danced with Romeo in the Capulet party knowing that Romeo is a Montague.
Romeo went out of his way to see Juliet, he risked getting killed for even going to see Juliet. I think that Tybalt, Friar Lawerence, and the family feud all tie into Romeo and Juliet's death. The first person that I blame for Romeo and Juliet's death is Tybalt. One reason why I blame Tybalt is that if he hadn't killed Mercutio and started all of the fights then Romeo wouldn't have wanted to kill him.
