Metamorphosis creative writing Rose awoke from her peaceful slumber. Never before had she had such a peaceful, enlightening dreams in all of her life. As she began to gain consciousness, Rose was shocked at the state which she had found herself in. Her room, or what once was her room, familiar to her as four broken down walls with a dirty mattress found on the floor, had now been found to be completely destroyed and turned into nothing but rubble. Instead of where her mattress once lay, her legs had penetrated throughout the floor of her room, except a second glance had her aware that it was in fact not her legs that made such destruction, but rather a thick mahogany tree trunk. What have you done now!” Her mother cried. Rose let out a quiet sob. “Mother I don’t know what’s going on, help me.” She let out in a whisper, for that was as loud as she could talk. Her mother was as pale as a ghost, shaking at the very sight of her daughter. “What am I going to do?” Her mother said to herself over an over again. “How am I going to fix the house, I can’t build over her, nor can I get rid of her, or maybe I should for she put a hole in the house, oh Rosie you have ruined everything!” Rose’s small sobs began to turn into loud whimpers, her branches began shaking and dropping dead leaves all around the floor of her room. Her mother stormed out and shut the door behind her. It was rare if she ever saw her mother again after that. Not only did she not come, but she completely neglected her, failing to even water her for nutrition. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months. Still no mother. The only company she was ever graced with was the Gardner who came occasionally to rake up the dead leaves. Her mother had grown old and withered, she had spent all the money fixing the roof and floor, so that it was built around the gigantic tree which was her daughter, completely isolating her from the rest of the household, there was no door which her mother could come in to visit, only four re furnished solid brick walls. A week had passed an all of her mother’s ailments had passed, she no longer had to walk with a wooden cane, and her back ached no more. A rosy blush even appeared on what was her grey, dull skin. Such a magnificent tree had never been seen before. Soon neighbours of the town began to visit, in awe they left at the sight of rose, and speechless at the magnificent powers which the fruits of the tree had held. Soon gossip spread all around town, and not a day had passed before visitors began to come day by day, pondering for themselves if in fact the rumours where true about the magic
