Where we’re from, who we know, and how our mental makeup is, is very important in our lives. It can be the deciding factor between life in prison and a life dedicated to giving back to others. In The Other Wes Moore, The lives of two young men are examined through three distinct lenses, how the role our environment, social capital (How we get ahead by helping each other) and how our mindset can dictate who we become later on in life. Both of these young men grew up in roughly the same environment, the ghettos of Baltimore, Maryland and the Bronx, New York, respectively.
Nevaeh Williams is an 18-year old sweet heart literally she has the power to give children of the world sugary or healthy treats. In the beginning of this movie I thought Tim Thomas aka Ben was Stage One: The Liar. He seemed closed off and unable to distinguish fantasy from reality, by stealing his brothers Federal ID badge and by lying to all those people about who he was. Then later in the movie we find out he is really a Stage Five: The Servant. He was just making sure the people he chose to donate his body and estate to, were who they seem to be.
Paragraph 2: The characters assumptions are realistic because people have very absurd beliefs in reality. Jean Cabot clutched to her husband Rick Cabot and immediately tried to go to the car and cross the street just because she saw two black men walking in a predominantly white area and was under the assumption that they were going to steal her car. Granted they did steal her car but it seems like after the incident her prejudice progressively gets worst. After she expressed her prejudicial views when she made a statement about the Hispanic locksmith stealing her keys and when he turned in her keys she looked as if she was ashamed of what she said.
“Each day I wait for you.” (Schnabel) is the heart-wrenching, lump-in-the-throat moment that had us all grasping onto our seats which resonated with an intensity that defined the shades of the film as it began to wrap up. These emotionally riveting moments are portrayed through several instances throughout the movie and it overshadows his pitiful character in the book. Buaby’s inspiring endurance which formulates sympathy is quickly extinguished and Bauby’s personality tunes itself on a spectrum moving from page to screen.

She gets assigned Joe Morelli, who was accused of murder and who happened to be a childhood enemy. Stephanie is very inexperienced and receives help from a professional bounty hunter, Ranger.
Character traits help shape a person into what they are, there are ways to change them and become a better person. In the short story Charles, written by Shirley Jackson, a boy named Charles possessed many different negative character traits in which some include being, obnoxious, dangerous, and disrespectful. Charles displayed immature and unnecessary trouble for all the students and teachers. Being obnoxious means extremely unpleasant and Charles was just that in this short story. Charles possesses the trait obnoxious because all the children in the class were trying to listen to the story while the teacher would be unable to read due to the noise.
