Many people find themselves doubting the happenings of a world-wide flood. There is a significant amount of data and analysis to support and prove the occurrences of the worldwide flood accounted for in Genesis 6 through 9 that Noah and his family experienced. There are many who believe that there was a flood as accounted in Genesis but that it was not the span of all the continents. An analysis of six major geological evidences reveals that the flood recorded in the Bible, involving Noah, actually did occur and spanned the whole surface of the earth at one time changing the surface and mineral locations of the earth. The first major evidence is that fossils of sea creatures have been found higher above sea level than should have ever been …show more content…

Erosion would have occurred if there had been any length of time between the layers, however, because there is no erosion, this points to a worldwide flood. The water from the flood caused flat and smooth edges in the rock that would not have been there without a massive amount of continually moving water. There is about 4500 feet of exposed rock layers in the walls of the Grand Canyon, which would have shown erosion if there had been millions of years on between each layer, however, there is no sign of erosion, which again points to a worldwide …show more content…

Oard. In his article entitled “Setting the Stage for an Ice Age,” he seeks to prove the Biblical flood by estimating the time of an Ice Age and how deep the ice was. Oard estimates these figures and come to the conclusion that the flood caused the Ice Age. He says that we can know the extent of the Ice Age because of the formation in the landscape that it left on the earth after the flood. He says that the flood would have caused major volcanic activity, which resulted in dust in the air, which resulted in cooler temperatures, which resulted in the Ice Age. In Dr. John Whitmore’s article “Continuing Catastrophes,” he states “it appears that volcanic eruptions and earthquakes were greatest during the Flood and then gradually weakened to today’s intensity. These early post-Flood catastrophes had the power to cause enormous geologic change, including massive erosion, altered landscapes, and deposits of sediment layers thousands of feet thick.” “Based on what we know about the impact of the global Flood on the continents, sediments, and climate, it is clear that an ice age would not require hundreds of thousands to millions of years, as stipulated by evolutionary beliefs” (Oard). This analysis of the flood and the Ice Age point the realness of the catastrophic flood that is accounted in the
