Michael Jackson was the seventh of nine children born to Joseph and Catherine Jackson. The king of pop started his career at the tender age of eight. Jackson’s vituperative father revealed Jackson’s talents when he was placed as the lead singer of a musical group called Jackson Five. Although; Jackson became exceptionally successful, it cost him an appalling price of his childhood. Jackson received no affection nor care from his abusive father. Joe Jackson walloped Michael frequently during his childhood, causing Michael to fall into depression as he held onto the heart-rending belief that his father did not value him. Jackson believed that his negligent father used him for his purposes, overworking Michael until his body ached. With short temper and ferocious hands, Joe Jackson behaved aggressively towards Michael, so belligerently that Jackson often fainted or regurgitated because of his father's presence.
