Hook- We all have heard of great songs like Thriller or Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson, but not everyone knows about who Michael Jackson really was and his life. Well In this speech I will be talking about Michaels early life of fame, the middle of his career, and the end of his life. Michaels Early life- Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1958. Michael started his path to fame at the age of six years old, when he started to perform in the band, The Jackson 5, with his four other brothers. From the Jackson 5 Michael gained lots of attention, and this became even more true when the song, I Want You Back, dropped in 1969. After his gain in fame and money from thriller Michael left The Jackson 5 In December of 1984. After Leaving the Jackson 5 Michael went on to gain more and more fame through record breaking songs and albums like, Bad, Dangerous, Past Present and Future, and Invisible all going platinum many times. During the mid to late 80s fans started to notice changes in Michaels physical appearance. Fans started to notice that his skin color was lighter then the years prior, and that he now looked like he got cosmetic surgery. Michael addressed these comments of his skin change by stating that he has the skin condition, Vitiligo, a condition that makes you lose your pigment in your skin. Michael was a big human rights activist with several donations to charities like, Make a Wish and Camp Ronald McDonalds for good times. Michael Jackson donated so much to charities that he actually won a Guinness world record for the most charity donated by a pop star. Michael Jackson didn't only just donate to charities he also brought light to big issues in the world like climate change, racism, AIDS, and cancer. He shared light on these issues by using his platform to teach the world on those issues, he would also preach these messages in his songs like “Man in the Mirror,” and “Heal the
