James versus Jordan Professional athletes are the most talented and most skilled athletes in the world. It is very rare that every average human is able to compete at such a high level of a sport. A professional athlete takes so much skill, determination, and commitment that the world does not consist of many professional athletes. However, as the generations shift, young athletes see an improvement of professional athletes’ work ethics. Young basketball players who enjoy the game admire players such as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan. In addition to many athletes being known for their talent, LeBron and Michael are in the discussion as two of the greatest basketball players to ever play. Jordan is so potent offensively. When guarded by a person with intensive defense he has the ability to score at any will. Michael has six championships under his belt, and every championship game he has been in he was awarded NBA Finals MVP. Michael has six NBA rings compared to LeBron’s two rings. Jordan having six championships causes people to put him at the top for the greatest player to ever play. Jordan was able to achieve his first ring at age twenty-eight while LeBron achieved his first at age twenty-seven. LeBron was only rewarded NBA Finals MVP two times. Jordan won an incredible five regular season MVP awards, he won ten scoring titles, and he was also acknowledged once for all-defensive team. James will never have the amount of scoring titles that Jordan won. Michael could score at any time he wanted, just like LeBron. LeBron and Michael both do not seem to fold under pressure. They never seem to let rookie players around them know they are uncomfortable playing against a certain team or player. Jordan is a better scorer than James, but LeBron is a better overall player than Michael. Nobody has ever seen LeBron’s skill level and athleticism especially for a person who is six foot eight inches weighing more than two-hundred and fifty
