Is Michael Jordan the best player? When Michael Jordan was about 14-16 years old, he started playing basketball. In his earlier years of basketball, contrary to popular belief, Michael Jordan did not make the basketball team on his first try. When he was a sophomore he was good enough to play on varsity basketball but his coach had put him on the junior varsity team.The reason Michael Jordan did not make the varsity basketball team was because he was on the shorter and skinnier side and got replaced by a taller kid.Michael Jordan grew up in wilmington north carolina. As a freshman, he had made the game-winning shot against Georgetown to win the national championship game. Michael Jordan stayed at the University of North Carolina until his junior year and got drafted into the NBA to play with the Chicago Bulls. Kobe Bryant was 18 when he got drafted into the NBA.He did not go to college at all so he was fresh out of high school when he went into the NBA.He was one of the youngest players to go into the NBA so he has to be good right?Lebron James also did not go to college he went into the NBA after high school he got drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers.So both of these players did not go to college they went straight into the NBA so they are not as good or better than Jordan. Well that's because yeah they have a lot of talent but look at Jordan 6 time championship winner that's pretty hard to get.So yeah they do have a lot of talent and Lebron just broke the all time scoring record he has 40,036 made points now. Kobe Bryant is the all-time leading scorer in Lakers history. Now Michael Jordan has the record for most points in a playoff game against the Celtics in 1986 with 63 points. So they all have some type of record broken. But that still doesn't answer the question. So looking at it really, Jordan has 6 championships to his name. Kobe has 5 and Lebron only has 4. But lebron is still a current player so yeah he has the chance to go and get more than any of them but
