To many people, basketball is just a sport or something to watch on tv. But to some people, basketball is more than a sport. It is their passion, their hobby, and their life. Michael Jordan made it his passion and loved the game more than himself.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He didn't know playing on the streets with his friends, he would be one of the best basketball player ever. Growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina, he started at an early age. Jordan was a very competitive player even when it came to just playing around. He was determined to win every single game. He was someone who was born competitive and always wanted to try to outdo himself as much as he could.

As Michael grew up, he graduated high school and attended at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981. No one was shocked when he wanted to join the University’s basketball team. Soon after in 1982, his team won the NCAA Division I against Georgetown University. That year, Michael Jordan was put out to be the NCAA College Player of the year. After attending college, Jordan wanted to do something more, to be something more. In 1984, he appeared in the Olympic Games and was a member of the United States Olympic Basketball Team in Los Angeles. During his time playing with them, they won't the gold that year. Jordan soon joined the NBA and was drafted by the Chicago Bulls and it didn't take him long to make himself comfortable on the court.
