Michael Stone has achieved many things throughout the time span of his life. Michael spent the earlier part of his childhood growing up in Saudi Arabia. He and his family moved in Saudi Arabia when he turned eleven years old. Michael’s father worked for the national oil company of Saudi Arabia- Saudi Aramco Company. Of the five years Michael lived in Saudi Arabia he lived in two cities, Dhahran and Ras Tanura. While living overseas, he played many sports but his favorite was soccer. Rather than focusing on his studies, Stone’s main focus was soccer in his early teens. Like most kids, Stone grew up thinking that he would go on to be a professional soccer player when he grew up. The Campbell University school of law is ranked 121st in the nation as of August 2014 and is gradually increasing each year. After graduating from law school with a 3.0 GPA and passing the North Carolina state bar exam, mandatory to practice law within the state, Stone became certified to practice law as a trial attorney in the state of North Carolina. Stone then joined a practice in which was started by one of his friends, Chris Hatley, from law school who graduated two years before Stone. Hatley had a solid practice going and Stone believed this to be the smartest move for him to kick off his career. After being a part of this practice for a quite some time, he decided to open up his own private practice. One of Stone’s most interesting cases was a civil case in which he sued Ford Motor Company on behalf of a widow of a state trooper. In a strange twist of fate, he represented the defendant at the murder trial of Trooper Duncan. During the defense trial, Stone discovered that the trooper died from a product defect in the police cruiser, constructed by Ford Motor Company, which caused the vehicle to go out of control unexpectedly. The car Duncan was driving, spun out of control, hit a tree, and then caught fire with Duncan trapped inside. After concluding these facts, the murder trial was dismissed and the widow went on to sue
