Michael Vick
Michael Dwayne Vick is one of the greatest NFL rushing quarterbacks to live,but like most most people, his life was rough, he was charged with dogfighting in April 2007.
Vick was born in Newport News, Virginia, the second of four children born to Brenda Vick and Michael Boddie. Vick grew up in a tough area of his hometown, a place dominated by drugs and gang activity. He fell in love with football at Warwick High School, where he became close to his coach Tommy Reamon. Coach Reamon and Vick flourished under their setup. Vick, who throws left and is actually right-handed, was considered one of the best high school quarterbacks. Hhe played thirteen 13 seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles.Michael Vick is the first quarterback to rush for 6,000 yards in the NFL. In a desperate need of a quarterback and a star,the Atlanta Falcons traded up to the number one No.1 slot in the 2001 draft and nabbed him. Michael Vick played with the Atlanta Falcons from 2001 to 2006. The 2002 season saw the Atlanta Falcons return to the playoffs with a regular season of 9-6-1, tying the Pittsburgh Steelers in a heated contest. It was Michael Vicks first year as a starter,and the team with newly acquired running back Warrick Dunn,delivered the Green Bay Packers their first home playoff loss ever . A 20-6 loss to the Donovan Mcnabb led Philadelphia Eagles,ended the Falcons Season . On March 19,2003 the Atlanta Falcons presented their new logo.During the 2003 preseason Michael Vick broke his leg and miss the first 12 games of the season.After losing the 7 straight games,the decision was made to fire head Dan Reeves.Although the Falcons won 3 of their 4 last games after the return of Michael
