Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was born March 6, 1475 in the Tuscan town of Caprese. He died February 18, 1564 in Rome, Papal States. He was 88 years old. Michelangelo was an Italian sculptor, architect, painter, poet and engineer of the High Renaissance who influenced the development of Western Art. He was a legend and a genius and no one could come close to his perfection.
Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475. Michelangelo was an Italian painter, sculptor. Three of his famous works are, David and Pietà sculptures, as well as the Sistine Chapel ceiling painting. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel from 1508 to 1541. David was the symbol and guardian of Florentine liberty.
The true beauty of Michelangelo’s paintings is the amount of emotions he can portray in one piece. The talent he had for putting “a universe of sensations into a single subject” surpassed that of even the most talented artists of that time, such as his mentor Ghirlandaio.
Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most well-known artist of the renaissance, He was born on April 15, 1452, and died on May 2, 1519. Michelangelo The Italian Renaissance created a culture change for Europe, and allowed artist with the ability to think freely and express themselves, and would assist in connecting the medieval age to the modern age. How magnificent would it be to travel across the world and see many great paintings, sculptures, and amazing architect perfected by artist from many different backgrounds and styles during the Italian Renaissance? Of all the beauty and wonders in the world the main thing on my bucket list is to visit the Vatican in Rome and see the absolutely marvelous Sistine Chapel painted by the great Michelangelo. Did you know that Michelangelo did not really even prefer to paint, even though he produced such great art work?
One of his sculptures was called, “The Scene of the Pieta.” In this scene it shows the Virgin Mary holding Christ’s body in her lap after the crucifixion, death, and when he was taken off the cross, but this was before they were going to place him in tomb. This sculpture was a very special work of art, even during the Renaissance time, because the multi-figured sculptures were a very rare kind of sculpture during that time. When Michelangelo had finished his Pieta sculpture, some people were complaining against him and the way he had made the sculpture, because of the way Michelangelo made the Virgin Mary look. He had made her appear very young, so young to the point where you could hardly tell that she was a mother who had a thirty three year old son.
Michelangelo Michelangelo lived a very long and eventful life. He had a fairly rough childhood and a spent most of his life as a lonely artist. He was very difficult to get along with and had few friends. He once got into a fight with a disputing artist, and as a result, he suffered a broken nose (Krull 17). He did not have many personal friends.
Michelangelo I feel like was the greatest artist in the High Renaissance era. THe legendary sculpture Created some of the greatest art pieces that our world has ever seen. He was the ultimate master of visual Illusions, realism, aerial perspective and more. Michelangelo is the creator of the Pieta, David, Sistine Chapel ceiling, Creation of Adam, and the Dome of Saint Peters. In the Sculptures of David I feel that Michelangelo does an amazing job in dramatizing his appearance and making all of his features show.
Throughout history, art has held the power to change society. Michelangelo is one of history’s most talented and notorious artists. He was extremely skilled at painting, sculpting, and architecture. Even today, the vast majority of educated people have heard of Michelangelo because of his mastery. Michelangelo has left his mark on today’s culture by incorporating psychological insight, physical realism, and artistry into his work.
Michelangelo is a great renaissance artist who left many masterpiece. I chose this topic because I am interested in Michelangelo. When I was at 7th grade, I read a book about Michelangelo so this is the topic that I am most interested in and the topic that I know a lot. I read the book both in English and Korean and the book mainly discusses Michelangelo`s famous art work, like Sistine Chapel and it deeply goes in to the book and the book analyzes Sistine Chapel. I`m interested in Sistine Chapel because I am a Christian and there are many religious figures in this painting

Michelangelo, like Leonardo, was a man of many talents; he was a renowned Florentine sculptor, architect, painter, and poet. He is credited as the founder of the high Renaissance style and considered the most influential of late Renaissance artists (Houston 16). His works exhibit his remarkable understanding of human anatomy and muscular structure, a skill which he used to incorporate emotion and liveliness into his works. He rarely painted landscapes; his subject matters were mostly human,
Michelangelo once said, “I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free”. If Michelangelo actually did this with every sculptor could modern artist be doing the same thing to follow in his footsteps. Michelangelo’s artwork affects modern society by influencing many modern-day artists to become sculptors, painters and more. He also influenced types of art such as frescoes and ceiling paintings. To add to this his sculptures are discussed in today’s conversations.
There are many us that have been inspired by people that have achieved astonishing goals. So, if I were to have the ability to travel to the past. I will journey to the years between 1475 to 1564 to met Michelangelo. A famous artist who sculpted the statue of David and painted the sistine chapel ceiling. He has inspired me to draw and paint my own stories upon a canvas and to continue following my dreams.
United States Foreign Policy Foreign affairs by definition are policies of a government in dealing with other countries or with activities overseas. When people speak of foreign affairs they think of two extremes, isolationism and interventionism. The U.S’s desired and current role as world hegemon is difficult to maintain and in order do this the country must be heavily involved in governments all over the world. Isolationism on the other hand could be the solution people proceed to overlook, with the good of our countries people and in many cases citizens of other countries in mind, the world would be better off without The United States intervention.
The technique and scale of all the drama captured in his painting is what made “The Last Judgement” a masterpiece and was painted right against the wall of the Sistine Chapel.
