Miep gies was a hero of WWII, she tried to save seven jewish lives and give them a good lifestyle putting their lives before hers. She spent upwards of 2 years keeping jews, The
Franks, The Van Daans and Fritz Pfeffer, healthy and kept with their daily needs. She also was brave against the Nazis, knowing that people who harbored jews were treated as badly as thoes whom were jews, and kept jews. Miep Gies is a very deserving person of this award and should, quite frankly, be the one who recieves it.
Miep Gies stood brave against the Nazis when they invaded the annex and even managed to save Anne’s Diary. Miep helped in the effort to try and save 7 jews (the Frank family, the Vaan Dann family, and Fritz Pfeffer). These jews she hid along with …show more content…

Miep had almost daily visits to them bringing them Supplies, food, and even luxuries. She gave up her own rations to give them what they needed to survive. At the time of
World War 2 Rations in germany were low, as most of the rations were being given to military personelle to go fight in the war. This meant Miep, a german, was brave enough to go against what her entire country said and even give up her quality of life to save only 7 jews.
There are people out there who claim at other people deserve this award more but i disagree. Other people may have saved more people but it wasnt out of the kindness of their hearts. Most of the people whom did this did it for their own personal gain. Miep saved
(or tried to save) seven jews out of the kindness of her heart. This is the main reason why i believe she deserves this award ofer all others.
Miep Gies is the most deserving of this award. Miep gies attempted (with help) to save seven jews and was their main source of rations. She stood up against what her country said and fought for her own beliefs and was brave when caught. Overall Miep is the most deserving of this award and should be the one whom it is presented
